Step 1: Set up your Candide account
To get started, you'll need to download the Candide app and create a username. It makes sense to go with one that is related to your business name or what you sell, as this will also become your shop name.
Set up your account with a display photo or logo, and edit your Candide bio - tell us a little more about your business and what you sell. This will appear as your shop description, so it's worth spending some time on this.
Step 2: Download your listings from Etsy
Once you've set up your Candide account, head over to your Etsy Shop Manager. Go to Settings > Options > Download Data (see below). Click the button to Download CSV, which will give you a file of your listings.
Step 3: Remove or edit any listing content
If you need to edit the wording on your listings (in case they are specific to Etsy features, which wouldn't make sense in Candide) or you need to remove any listings that you do not wish to copy over, now is the time to do that. It should look something like this:
Make sure you remove any rows completely if you want to remove a listing, rather than editing individual cells in the spreadsheet.
Step 4: Send your CSV to us
Drop as an email to email@example.com with the subject line "Etsy import" - we'll just need two things from you:
- Your Candide username - please check you provide this correctly, as we'll use this to set up your listings.
- Your CSV file with updated Etsy listings, ready for us to import.
Step 5: Final checks
We'll let you know when your listings are live and ready to check. You'll need to do a hard refresh of your Candide app (usually a swipe up motion to close the app on your phone) before you check your listings, just to get things working as they should.
You're set up! 🎉
You'll now be able to manage your listings directly in the Candide app. You can edit or close a listing, and create any new listings in the future.
